To study the molecular pathological mechanisms in human metabolic diseases (Insulin resistance, diabetes and its complications etc.).

The main research: (1) Functional roles of A to I RNA editing in metabolic disease; (2) Functional roles of Rab37 in beta-cell function; (3) insulin resistance and beta-cell defects; (4) The association between Islet amyloid polypeptide and  beta-cell defects
